Whether you call him/her, President, Prime Minister, Governor, Major, Senator.... is irrelevant. I'm sure everyone has an idea on who a king is or rather, who a king ought to be. I love Platos' Philosopher King where a ruler is one who possesses both a love of wisdom, as well as intelligence, reliability, and a willingness to live a simple life. Apply that theory to the bulk of rulers we have today and you would find them wanting.
