I am a little obsessed with how eyes are portrayed in a portrait because I feel they are the most dominant features of a face even when the eyes are shut. From setting, shape, colour... eyes can give your portrait that vavavoom effect when done right. That's what draws me in when I look at a human figure portrait. The eyes, hair, lips in that order.
